Bud McDougal loves shooting. His grandmother taught him to shoot a gun when he was six years old, and that set off a lifelong passion for guns. Bud became an exhibition shooter in his 20s, traveling the country performing as a trick shooter. His tricks included shooting aspirin tablets in the air and shooting cigarettes out of his wife's mouth. But just as Bud was becoming a well-known exhibition shooter, exhibitions started to become a relic of Americana. Bud decided to go into teaching instead. He taught English for 30 years before retiring.
Bud is now a shotgun instructor, combining his love of shooting and his love of teaching. He lives in Portland, Oregon.
